Hello Choir Families!

Broadway here we come!  This week the students learned what they would be singing for the Broadway show and we are all very excited.  We have tons of solo opportunities for those who want them.  More information about that will be shared on Google Classroom in the coming weeks.

Students were also assigned a “Get to know me” video on Google Classroom due next week.  It will require them to make a video and upload it on Google Classroom.  I’ve included tutorial videos to assist them if they don’t know how to do that.

Testing schedule

Next week we have weird schedules all week.  Sound Check will start 8:00am instead of 7:43 on testing and minimum days.  I’ll be testing Sound Waves in room 32 so they will report there first thing Monday morning.  I’ll see everyone else after the testing block for about 27 minutes. Wednesday is a regular Wednesday schedule and Thursday and Friday are both minimum days.    

Information Packets

Most of the students have completed and returned their info packets.  If you have not yet done so, please complete the tasks, sign the packet and return it to Mrs. Wallace no later than Sept 1. 

Here are the tasks that need to be completed in the packet:

*join Google Classroom

*Register at McAuliffeChoir.com

*Read and sign the Classroom and Concert Expectation form

*Scan the QR code and complete the Off Campus Permission Slip

*Read and sign the Donation Information Form-payment can come later, we just need you to complete the form so we can budget for the year.  

Back to School Night

Next week is back to school night and I’m excited to meet some of you there. I have a fun “activity” for you and I’ll share some of our classroom needs.  I am also hoping to put some names with faces as well so be sure to stop in and say hi!

Desserts with the Director

We will only have a short time at BTSN so desserts with the director is a way for us to spend a little more time together, experience what the kids do every day, and ask all of the questions.  Plus we will have desserts so there’s that!  

Beach Party!

A week from today is our beach party!  Bring your family and just come hang on the beach.  You can meet other families and get to know some of our booster board.  There is no formal agenda and families can come and go as they please.  We will take a group picture around 4:00.  Parents please supervise and feed your own crew.
