Hello Choir Families!
The beach party last week was super fun! We had a great turn out and the kids had a blast. Desserts with the director was also a huge success. We had so many of you there and I hope you found it helpful. Ask your kids to teach you the Dum Dum song if you haven’t already. You crushed it! We are off to a great start for both parents and students and I’m humbled and grateful to be part of this amazing community.

Seal Beach Art Fair-Last day to register and submit a solo audition
Sept. 12 10-11:30am Seal Beach Pier. This is an optional performance, but students will receive extra credit and service hours for attending. If you cannot attend you do not need to do anything further.
If you are attending, please register using the link below by Sept. 4th.
Kylie has to make blocking charts and it's very confusing when students don't show up, or show up unannounced.
For this event, the entire choir will perform Tables similar to the Eagle Kick Off. Then we will all sit down in front of the stage and Sound Check and possibly Studio Singers will perform a song. Then we will have 8-10 soloists perform and we will cheer them on. You will be sitting in direct sunlight so come prepared. You can bring a hat or umbrella for after you perform.
If you would like to perform a solo at this event, you will submit an audition video to Google Classroom no later than Sept. 4th. You can sing any song of your choice, any genre provided it is school appropriate. You must sing with a karaoke track and your track must be linked or attached along with your video to the Google Classroom assignment. Please do not email me. We like the songs to be around 2 minutes give or take a few seconds. If your song is too long or has awkward breaks, please use CapCut or some other method to cut it down.
You do not have to be a soloist to be part of this event. However, this is a good opportunity because the song can be anything you want and you'll be singing in front of a very supportive audience.
St. Hedwig's Autumn Festival
The choir will be singing for the St. Hedwigs Autumn Festival on Sept 26. This will be similar to the Art Fair with group performances and solos. This is an optional performance so students will register their attendance. Students who perform will receive extra credit and service hours. Presale tickets are on sale now for students wanting to stay and play before or after we perform. If you plan on coming be sure to take advantage of the preorder as prices will go up.
