Hello Choir Families,
Final project of the year
The students have done some wonderful presentations this week! Kylie and I are getting lots of ideas for next year. We have a couple more presentations to go next week and we will wrap it up. Today was the last day to submit any late work, make up work, or extra credit. Citizenship grades will continue into next week.

Here are some fun videos that I wanted to share.

Friends of the Library
Sound Check’s last performance of the year is Sunday! They will be performing at the Friends of the Library scholarship ceremony on Sunday May 31st at 2:00 the Montecito Center in Rossmoor. (12341 Montecito) Wear pants, choir t-shirt, and Sound Check jacket. Following the performance they will walk to Rossmoore In and Out for burgers and fun.
Promotion
Today we said goodbye to the 8th graders by reviewing all of their past sets and reading “Oh the Places You’ll Go”. Studio used all of my tissues and I sent them to 6th period a mess :) I won’t see 8th graders again until Promotion next week as they will be enjoying 8th grade activities all of next week.
For Promotion we will meet at 3:30 to place everyone on the risers and do a very quick sound check. Please make it a priority to be on time so we make sure everyone is seen and heard. Don’t forget if you got a 3 year pin, outstanding member cords, or 8th grade medals, to wear it for promotion.
Xcite Camp
There are 2 camps this Summer offered by the high school choir that the kids absolutely LOVE! You can register by going to https://www.
Solo Singing
I'm offering a class on solo singing if you want to learn to be a more confident performer. Sign up at LAEF4kids.org. This class is for middle school only so sorry 8th graders.
Costumes Due
We still have some costumes missing so please bring those back ASAP.
Costume Closet Volunteers
Our bins are in and I am looking for a couple of parents to supervise and organize the costume closet this summer. I will be on campus teaching for LAEF from 8:30-12:30 June 8-26. I am going to have students sign up for volunteer hours and need parents to supervise them while I’m teaching my classes. Let me know if you are interested and available.
Bingo! 8th grade parents
Don’t forget to get started on Bingo! You can earn money toward your students' choir dues all summer.
